So much to do......

Well it is about time I sat down and talked about the comings and goings of the household.....
Holly Anthony decided not to move back to  twoFlorida and let his best bud from middle/high school/college talk him into moving to Oregon.  He already sounds happier so that works for me.  Brandon is back at a oil rig camp working so happy son number two.  Ariel has been getting compliments from her trainers about her look (she competes in bikini and fitness events) and she is doing well in school.  On the children front I am very pleased.

On the Debbe front.....getting myself situated so I will spend a dedicated amount of time every day to do some quilting (2 hours) starting on Tuesday.  Spending time doing yardwork (1/3 acre  yard, trimming palm trees, shrubbery and doing some landscaping.  I finally gave up trying to find an appropriate bookcase to store material versus keeping them in bins.  My solution?  Convince Dan the Man to build me some!  That will keep him busy along with building an upraised garden bed and a shed......Lord knows I got lucky finding a real Handy Dandy!

Today I got Dan to take me fishing and I had a great time.....the weather was beautiful but I only had one fish to cooperate with me and stay on my hook.  Unfortunately the lovely black sea bass was not regulation size so he got a reprieve....sighs....I had plans for him to meet Mr. Frying Pan.

Back on the quilting side, I signed up to volunteer at QuiltCon 2015 in Austin.  Now waiting for the response to see what they will allow me to do.  Of course, volunteering is the way to get "in" and meet all kinds of great people and be what we call in the event industry as "back of the house".  That means being behind the scenes of an event. I have already booked my RV spot so my 5th wheel has a place to park.. The Orlando Guild is very excited about making a quilt for the Festival of Trees in November.  We've picked a design and now just need to get material, pass it out to members and get to quilting!  We will present it to the Council of 101 in October.

On the facepainting side, I've been asked to not only return to do facepainting for kids at the Tom Joyner Family Reunion Labor Day Weekend, but they've asked me to do two teen events!  I have been doing this nearly ten years but this is the first time I'm staying at the resort.  It is a great time for families and friends.....imagine 1500 families of four taking over the entire resort...expos, concerts, theme parks  something for everyone....I will also fulfill my annual obligation as a member of the Council of 101 and do facepainting during the Festival of Trees.  For ten days before Thanksgiving, we decorate the Museum with trees and any and all unique holiday items for sale.  It is one of the two fundraising events we do for the Museum.  This year we raised ofver $300,000!!!

Will post some pics this week I promise, but this is all for now.....
